Fishing in Trogir
Planning to fish in Trogir? This historic little town on an islet between the mainland and the island of Čiovo is surrounded by the shallow bays of Kaštela Bay and the more open water out towards the Drvenik islands. You can fish from shore and from a boat. Common catches here include gilt-head sea bream, red mullet, and common octopus.
The channel between Trogir and Čiovo and the shallows of Kaštela Bay are well suited to shore fishing, while heading out to the islands of Veliki and Mali Drvenik is good for spinning. The fish bite most in spring and autumn.
What permit do you need for Trogir?
An official sea fishing license is required by law for recreational sea fishing in Croatia. You choose how long it stays valid (1 day, 3 days, 7 days, or the 150-day seasonal license), fill in your details, and we email you the official PDF license. We save you the paperwork and the back-and-forth with the Croatian authorities. The license is national, so it is valid along the entire coast of the Croatian Adriatic (special local rules apply in protected areas).
